Hull City of Culture – Jan 2017

Hull’s UK City of Culture 2017 launched this week, with an estimated 150,000 visitors descending on the city centre in the first four nights, most heading for the celebrated Made in Hull light and sound show.
The spectacular light show from artist Zsolt Balogh transported Queen Victoria Square through 70 years of Hull’s past, and visitors were filled with emotion at the projections onto Hull City Hall, Ferens Art Gallery and Hull Maritime Museum showing the destruction of the Blitz and paying tribute to lost fisherman.
So many of our friends and family visited and were absolutely amazed and really moved by the show and indeed the number of people showing their pride in Hull, our nearest city.  It really is going be to an exciting year for Hull and the surrounding area, keep up to date with the events here.
