Best Family Campsite North East! We were delighted to hear that Campsites.co.uk have announced Kingfisher Lakes as their Runner-Up in the Best Family Campsite category for the North East! We look forward to welcoming many returning guests and new ones too for the season ahead!
Kingfisher Lakes is now in it’s 7th season, and over that time we have welcomed almost 7,000 people which totally blew our mind when we did the stats! That seems like a big number who’ve stayed in our little corner of farmland in East Yorkshire doesn’t it? Each year we’ve added or improved the tents and cabins to give you more options and comfort.
There are now 4 large safari tents (sleeping various numbers from 4 up to 10) which are really canvas ‘cottages’ with huge high ceilings so it almost doesn’t feel like you’re in a ‘tent’ – although the sound of the owls at night and the dawn chorus gives you that authentic ‘camping’ experience so you’re not missing out on that!
There are also smaller options, two super cute yurts and an additional bell tent for the summer months.
The log cabins with hot tubs – you could live in these as lots of our guests remark! – are available to stay in all year round so you can take a lakeside break at any time of year. The views are so different depending when you come, and even better to be in a steaming hot tub when it’s snowing eh?!
