Family Summer Glamping Holidays are now in full swing here at Kingfisher Lakes! As hosts it is simply THE best thing to welcome back many families returning time and again; trying (and failing!) not to say “Wow the kids have grown – they’re nearly bigger than me!”. Another joyful sight (and sound) is when the ice-cream van drives into the car park! The lovely local ice cream lady pops in on a regular basis during the Summer months so there’s a good chance you’ll catch her during your stay.
Meanwhile… Summer holidays are made easy for parents & grandparents here at Kingfisher Lakes; you won’t need to pack the kitchen sink – the lovely communal kitchen barn has it all provided (cookware, crockery, utensils, tea & coffee, plus much more). The kids soon forget they even like watching screens when they start running around the place, making new friends and exploring the site, the lakeside walk and the willow woodlands. Kayak hire is available for use on the lake right in front of your tent! This is such a unique environment for kids to grow in confidence on the water, learning a new skill and having adventures in nature.
Close by is the village of Brandesburton, you can even walk there on the bridlepath through the fields right from the site entrance. In the village is a playpark, convenience stores, deli/bakery, pubs, fish & chippy, and the fabulous Bert’s lakeside pizzeria with it’s Adventure Golf & Foot Golf too!
Further afield you’ve got endless options for coastal explorations, from vast sandy beaches at Bridlington South Beach and Fraisthorpe, to the dramatic cliffs, coves & caves at Flamborough (where you can see seals every day and often Dolphins too!).
Then at the end of a fun-filled day you can all sleep well in the super-comfy beds in your Safari Tent or Yurt.
