Whitehead’s Fish & Chips, Hornsea
A visit to the seaside town of Hornsea (15-minute drive) wouldn’t be complete without a visit to this award-winning chippy that uses the potatoes we grow here on the farm. Officially crowned as the UK’s Best Chippy in 2023, choose a takeaway for enjoying your food on the nearby beach, or the restaurant if you’d like all the trimmings and to be looked after by Whitehead’s fantastic team!
Naked Fish, Bridlington
Naked Fish is a traditional chippy (if that’s what you want)…but with a bit extra for those keen to try some different local seafood. Lobsters are the star of the show here, with the chefs keen to let people know Bridlington is the ‘Lobster Capital of Europe’! Eat indoors on charming picnic tables with a view overlooking the harbour and beach beyond – what could be better!
Pipe & Glass, South Dalton
This Michelin-starred Yorkshire pub, will charm you so much you won’t want the experience to end! With a traditional bar, real ales, the most wonderfully-put-together local taste sensations and impeccable service, this one is a great choice for a special occasion – that said, it has a distinctly casual, relaxed vibe, you can also enjoy a simple sandwich in the bar.
Boathouse Burger & Grill, Flamborough
Open 10am – 3pm (check their Facebook page for daily updates) this is a fabulous takeaway operating in the previous lifeboat house at the top of a steep slipway that used to launch the North Landing Lifeboat. Here you will find staples such as a full English breakfast, bacon sarnies & burgers, plus the freshest seafood caught that day by the owner’s!

Open Friday-Sunday for Breakfast & Lunch (check their Facebook for updates) this place has a uniquely cosy vibe despite being slightly open to the elements at one end, hunker down on chesterfield sofas, exchange books and drink in artistic offerings, while enjoying seafood & plantfood cooked to the highest level of tastiness! EyUp Coffee also lives here for the best coffee in town, plus a pizza street-food van.
