Fishing on your holiday is another way to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lakes or share a fun challenge with family members! There are general coarse species thriving in the lakes; Carp, Tench, Perch, Roach, Pike; many growing to quite a size. The largest we’ve seen being caught is a mirrored carp at 33.8lbs.
The lakes are very naturalised in terms of the banks and vegetation, there are a number of access areas on the banks you can use to fish from.
There are no jetties but it’s possible to fish from the kayaks we can hire out. Teaching the kids to fish on your holiday is real memory-making stuff, it’s just great to see their faces when they make a catch!
There is no extra charge for fishing during your stay here at Kingfisher Lakes, we just ask that you have your own UK Rod License and equipment (which shouldn’t disturb any other guests with alarms etc).
